Cancellation and refunds · updated 10 September 2026

No hidden renewal rules. No lost credits after failed work.

This policy separates subscription cancellation, payment refunds, and the automatic return of reserved credits when an action cannot be completed.

Cancel a subscription

You can cancel renewal from Billing in the client workspace. Cancellation stops future recurring payments; paid access normally continues until the end of the current paid period. Cancelling a subscription does not itself refund a payment already made.

Request a payment refund

Contact support@publishready.app from the account email and include the PayPal transaction reference. Refund requests are reviewed against the service supplied, account usage, duplicate or incorrect charges, and any rights that apply by law. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.

Failed or cancelled editorial work

New service actions reserve the displayed maximum while work is running. Word-based reviews reserve credits based on submitted words. If the work fails or you cancel it before completion, PublishReady releases those credits automatically to their original balance. Their original expiry dates are unchanged. This is a usage-credit adjustment, not a payment refund. A completed research step remains charged if you stop before generating its article. If the return cannot be confirmed, contact support before retrying.

Extra-credit purchases and payment adjustments

Extra-credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund a pack or shorten its 12-month expiry. An approved payment refund or reversal also adjusts the credits granted by that payment. If those credits have already been spent, new processing may be paused while support resolves the balance; PublishReady does not automatically charge you again.

PayPal and payment disputes

Approved refunds are returned through PayPal to the payment route PayPal makes available. A chargeback, reversal, or unresolved payment dispute may pause paid access while the payment status is investigated. PayPal's own terms and buyer-protection rules apply separately.
