If you've found a cheaper tool that rewrites text, it's fair to ask why PublishReady costs more. The reason is the work around the words: checking important claims, keeping the evidence available and letting you shape a new article before it is written.
That doesn't mean every draft needs all of that. Or that paying more automatically gets you a better result. Our price needs to make sense for the work you actually publish. Here is what you're paying for, and where a simpler tool may be enough.
A rewrite and a researched correction are different jobs
A sentence can read beautifully and still give someone the wrong idea. Before spending money on an edit, ask what is wrong with the draft. Awkward wording? An unsupported claim? A missing detail that would change the reader's decision?
Changing the phrasing only addresses the first problem. Edit content also researches material claims and applies corrections where needed, while keeping wording that already works. That checking is part of the service even when the resulting edit is small.

You don't have to build the process for every draft
With a general-purpose AI tool and suitable instructions, you can do useful editing and research yourself. If that setup already works for you, keep it. The reason to pay for PublishReady is having the task, saved work and relevant evidence together, without organising another sequence of prompts each time.

More expensive should not mean more complicated
We don't want a higher price to buy you longer sentences and a pile of explanations. If you have to spend the next half-hour removing stiff language, the rewrite has given you another job.
Our editorial standards call for ordinary words, respect for distinctive phrasing and changes that serve the piece. A qualification must not quietly become a guarantee. Nor should a livelier sentence invent a product test or personal experience you never had.
Judge that in the result, not in our description of it. Does it still say what you meant? Would you keep the changes? Those questions matter more than how many words the software replaced.
Research adds work, but it needs to earn its place
Checking a product feature means finding relevant information and deciding whether it supports that particular claim. Content editing and generation keep the sources in a separate evidence panel so you can inspect them. The article should use the useful detail, not become a tour of every page consulted.
This is part of why research-backed work costs more to provide than changing wording alone. But extra research is not automatically extra value. A source earns its place by resolving a real question in the article. Padding a simple explanation with regulatory detail would defeat the point.
How plans and credits affect what you pay
New plans include 50 service credits a month on Starter ($19/month or $209/year), 120 on Creator ($49/month or $490/year), and 220 on Pro ($99/month or $891/year). Yearly plans provide credits monthly, not all at once. Existing subscriptions keep their original credit terms.
The workspace shows an estimate and a maximum before you start. The maximum is reserved while the action runs; the final deduction follows processing usage and cannot exceed that maximum. Unused reserved credits are returned. Failed or cancelled actions use no credits. Research and article writing are separate actions, so completed research remains charged even if you do not generate an article.
Compare the current plans and credit terms against your own publishing schedule. Credits are not a fixed word allowance: the action, text length and research work affect usage. A monthly price alone cannot tell you what your particular article will cost.
Paid subscribers can buy five extra service credits for $1.50. Purchased credits expire after 12 months; unused monthly credits expire at the end of their monthly window. Choose an allowance you expect to use, rather than buying a larger plan simply because it offers more.
Is PublishReady worth the extra cost for you?
For an occasional, low-stakes paragraph that only needs tidying, a cheaper rewriting tool may be enough. When you regularly publish articles that need checking, corrections or research from a brief, having that work together may justify paying more. The useful comparison is the work left on your desk afterwards.
